Tutor in English, Math, Science, or General Education

The tutor will meet with high school age newcomer youth (beginner to intermediate level of English) on a weekly basis. Develop youth’s skills in reading, writing and speaking. Provide opportunities for students to make cross-language connections. Encourage students to participate, ask questions, and make them feel comfortable when questions are asked.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience teaching, learning, or performing visual, performing, and/or literary arts
• Outgoing and energetic to lead high school youth
• Dependable and punctual
• Courteous and personable when interacting with youth
• Be patient, respectful, and an attentive listener
• Spanish and/or Mam speaking preferred

Time Commitment

• 1x/week for 2 hours
• Schedule TBD
• Services provided in school setting
