The Spanish Speaking Citizens’ Foundation was established in 1964 by a group of visionaries dedicated to improving the lives of Latino residents in Oakland. 

Improve the lives of Latino residents in Oakland, embrace their heritage and become civic leaders, committed to the betterment of their communities. 

Our vision is to create and sustain a vibrant community where people live in harmony, with high quality educational, recreational and employment opportunities available to all.
